Is twitter for people or for marketing?
As you may have noticed, I am using Twitter a little more often now. As much as anything it is to learn more about what it’s like, because we are working on full Twitter support in BlogBridge, which should be cool. The question is, what should it look like? Anyway, more on that on the BlogBridge blog.
For now, here are some interesting pointers I have come across that you might find enlightening:
- To learn about raising money for your favorite charity using twitter you are interested in Using Twitter for Distributed Fundraising
- If you obsess about your Twitter popularity, check out Twitter Grader
- Here’s a report on the State of the Twittersphere from Hubspot
- The article which got me to take a second look at Twitter, Guy Kawasaki on Using Twitter as a Twool
- And more from Mr. Kawasaki about picking up as many followers as possible.
- Here is one of many people who think Mr. Kawasaki is abusing Twitter

Link to BB blog is broken.
I love to hear you announce Twitter support for BB but as you might guess from the forum thread I am also begging you to support the OpenSource platform Laconica aka identi.ca

Thanks, I fixed it. Regarding Icenti.ca, unfortunately the number of people who want it is far less than Twitter. What we are looking at is to allow Identi.ca and other micro blogging systems to be supported via a plug in for that specific purpose.

Re. identi.ca: Smart people are on identi.ca
Code: The OpenSource software Laconica, which is the base for identi.ca, may offer a lot of ready made code for parsing the messages.
